Short Bed
A truck bed measuring approximately 5'6" to 6'0" in length, standard on most crew-cab half-ton pickups. Short beds limit your camper options since many slide-in campers are designed for 6.5' or 8' beds and will overhang significantly. Campers that overhang the tailgate area can block taillights and affect weight distribution. Some manufacturers build short-bed-specific models, and others offer tailgate replacements to accommodate the overhang.
